SMS Terms and Consent
Effective date: [to be set] · Last updated: [to be set]
How text messaging works when you text a business that uses Enactity, how consent is handled, and how to stop texts at any time.
Program description
Businesses such as gyms and fitness studios use Enactity to answer customer texts with an automated assistant. When you text one of these businesses, you'll get replies about things like hours, pricing, tours, and membership requests. Some replies come from the business's staff. The business you're texting runs the program and sets its own policies.
How consent is obtained
[to be finalized] Consent is expected to come from one of these:
- You text the business first. The assistant replies to the conversation you started.
- Forms run by the business, such as a membership signup form where you agree to receive texts from the business.
Businesses are responsible for collecting any consent required before texting you.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Most messages are replies to texts you send.
Costs
Msg & data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details.
How to stop texts
Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You'll get one message confirming you've opted out, and no further texts after that. These single words also work: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, REVOKE, OPTOUT, and QUIT.
Texting CANCEL by itself stops text messages. It does not cancel a membership. To ask about cancelling a membership, send a full sentence, like "cancel my membership." Opting out of texts never changes your membership.
To start receiving texts again, reply START.
Help
Reply HELP for help. You can also ask for a person at any time, or contact the business directly. For questions about this program, contact [contact email].
Consent is not a condition of purchase
You don't have to agree to receive texts to buy anything or become a member.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for their marketing. See the Privacy Policy for how message information is handled.
